ABOUT THE FIRM
Lowden Architecture is a residential design practice focused on crafting architectural solutions for homeowners throughout Northern California. Founded in 2019 by local architect, Alex Lowden, we believe that great homes help create the foundation for a great life: one filled with laughter, comfort, security, and connection. Our goal is to create the home that provides you with your own place of sanctuary: a place where you can gather, connect, and be refreshed.
ABOUT THE ARCHITECT
Alex Lowden, founder of Lowden Architecture, is a residential architect focused on creating homes that are healthy, enjoyable, and truly memorable. After growing up in Chico, Alex received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. Following years of work in Sacramento, he later moved back to his hometown to establish the firm and to live closer to family. He is a licensed architect in the State of California with a LEED Green Associate credential, and he has logged more than twelve years of experience working in the architectural industry. As an avid creator, he enjoys gathering design inspiration while traveling, reading, and exploring the mountains near his home in Northern California.
ABOUT THE PROCESS
Working together, we seek first to understand the unique facets of your specific project. We learn about your lifestyle, we listen to your personal dreams, needs, and desires, and we then review multiple design options to craft the home specially designed for you and your family. Parametric modeling software helps us create custom renderings of the design and provides an opportunity to develop a digital ‘walk-through’ of the project: even in virtual-reality! This allows you to embark on a virtual tour of the house to more fully envision the rooms, layout, and finishes before it is ever built!
